Oasis After School
FOR YOUNG PEOPLE WITH BIG DREAMS
We all know the first two years of life are critically important. At Oasis, we do much more than simply feed and comfort the children in our care. Our first priority is the physical and motional safety of our community members, both young and old. We serve simple yet organic meals, vitamins, and snacks. We are mindful to involve every child in developing harmony within the community, to manage their own emotions, and to develop an independent learning attitude, under the guidance of inspiring and accomplished teachers.
LanguageOasis is a trilingual language immersion program, where English, Chinese, and Dutch are spoken every day by a team of native speakers, reinforced by classic movies and television shows.

Philosophy
- Movement is one of the child's very first projects - in some ways, their first independent work of art. Sitting still for hours a day will gradually take away our ability to move with ease, to relax, and even to think. We take this problem very seriously, and guide your child to connect with right motion, to develop their posture, and to sit and stand well. Daily Kids Yoga lessons are provided, and tumbling is encouraged at all ages.
- Communication is one of the unlimited arts, and we think there's no good reason to stop with one language. We teach a core vocabulary in three languages, together with pronunciation and spelling. Children learn to use their words, to listen, and to converse effectively and harmoniously. They are enriched with multiple streams and styles of communication, from lectures and stories to song and play.
- Intelligence is not one-dimensional quality, and we know today that there are multiple intelligences. Our philosophy is to develop well-rounded children, ones who can apply both logic and creativity, who can dream but also do, and who know how to envision each portion of their lives as a potential work of art.

FAQs
Do you serve organic meals?
- Yes. We offer organic yogurt and fresh fruit in the morning hours, with whole grain breads and healthy spreads in the mid-day.
Can I bring my own foods?
- We accommodate Breastfeeding Mothers in every way. You are welcome to drop-off bottles in the mornings, or to come by anytime.
How do you organise the children?
- We organise the children into three groups. The Pre-Talking group is for babies typically between 3 months to 18 months old. Once children control a basic vocabulary of ten essential words, they graduate to the Pre-Walking group. The Pre-Walking group participates in more physical activities, such yoga, piano lessons, and puzzles. Children from this group are between 12 to 24 months old. When a child can both talk and walk, they join our Walking Group, and participate in more physically demanding activity, such as measuring, drawing, building, and daily outings (weather permitting). The Walking group is typically for children aged between 24 to 48 months.
What is your TV and Device policy?
- We believe the right programs can be very helpful for the development of the young mind. However, we are mindful to avoid creating passive consumers. No independent video or internet-enabled devices are allowed, but we do spend some time each day watching classic movies and television in English, Chinese, and Dutch.
